Gill Cotter


Gill is a solicitor in our Debt and Asset Recovery Group. Together with an experienced team of solicitors and senior legal executives, she acts for a number of Financial Institutions on a wide range of debt recovery issues.

Gill has particular experience advising on secured and unsecured loans. She specialises in mortgage litigation and has extensive advocacy experience. Her experience also includes advising clients on the appointment of receivers, insolvency arrangements and advising on banking codes and regulations.

Gill and the Debt and Asset Recovery Group handle all aspects of debt recovery work from pre-legal recovery, escalating to litigation and, where necessary, judgement enforcement. Gill delivers timely information and experienced advice throughout all stages of the recovery process, such that her clients can make the most informed decisions and experience an efficient recovery service.

Gill’s legal training focused on the area of insolvency and debt recovery and she has worked in this field since qualifying in 2012. Gill is a graduate of UCD where she obtained an Honours Bachelor Degree of Social Science in 2006 and went on to graduate from the Dublin Institute of Technology with an Honours Post Graduate Diploma of Law in 2007. She also holds a Diploma in Corporate Law and Governance from the Law Society of Ireland.
