Dermot McClean

Dermot McClean is a Solicitor in Lavelle’s Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department.

Dermot acts for a wide range of clients to include both commercial and private clients, banks, financial institutions, liquidators, examiners and administrators of estates.

Dermot graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a Bachelor in Laws (LL.B) in 2011. Dermot joined Lavelle in 2015. Dermot completed his training as a Solicitor at the Law Society while working at Lavelle and won the Law Society Conveyancing Prize in 2016.

Relevant Professional Experience

  • Advising and acting in professional negligence actions against Solicitors on behalf of private clients, financial institutions and other bodies.
  • Advising and acting for Liquidators, Receivers and Examiners in Circuit and High Court Insolvency proceedings and in voluntary liquidations.
  • Advising and acting for private clients in a wide range of Court litigation to include disputes over land, defence of debt claims, judicial review, defamation actions and claims for damages arising out of breach of contract.
  • Advising and acting for Plaintiffs and Defendants in contested debt recovery matters in the District, Circuit and High Court.
