Julie has extensive experience in advising and acting for banks and financial institutions in relation to loan restructures, security documentation, security reviews, enforcements, the appointment of receivers and sales as mortgagee in possession.

Julie has considerable experience in acting for foreign and domestic clients in large scale property acquisitions through loan portfolio sales and purchases in Ireland.

She has worked as in-house counsel for one of the country’s largest financial institutions, where she carried out legal due diligence of the Bank’s eligible assets pursuant to the National Asset Management Agency (“NAMA”) Act, 2009.

Julie was also was a legal member of the Bank’s commercial banking department, where she carried out security review reports of the Banks’ existing security and provided practical commercial advise on all aspects of perfection and enforcement of security.

Julie has advised some of Ireland’s largest and best known property developers at every stage of a development project; from site acquisition, obtaining of planning permission, negotiation of funding agreements, to the sale of the completed units to third parties.

She has acted for a number of local authorities in the acquisition of residential properties under the shared ownership scheme and also Part V of the Planning and Development Act, 2000. In addition, Julie has significant experience in all types of commercial property transactions, for landlords, tenants and owner occupiers of office, retail and industrial property.

Julie was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in January 2004. She holds a Law Society Diploma in Finance Law and also a Diploma in Commercial Conveyancing.
