Narcolepsy Claims* - Pandemrix Vaccination

medical negligence

The Pandemrix Vaccination was administered to over 900,000 people in Ireland during the Swine Flu pandemic in 2009. Subsequent studies carried out in Finland and Sweden have proved a link between the Pandemrix vaccination and narcolepsy in children resulting in a six to thirteen fold increase in those tested. Narcolepsy is a neurological condition in which a person cannot control the amount of sleep and wakefulness. It is often also accompanied by catapexy, causing muscle weakness.

Compensation will be paid by the Finnish Pharmaceutical Pool to those who have developed Narcolepsy after receiving the Pandemrix Vaccination. Based on our initial research, we believe that we can achieve a similar result for the families affected in Ireland.

Lavelle is currently investigating this area and understands that the state has indemnified the producers of Pandemrix and has pledged to provide whatever support is needed to children and their parents. We are now taking enquiries from those affected by the Pandemrix vaccination.

Our solicitors have a strong and successful history of litigating medical negligence claims.  We have been at the forefront of trying and settling all types of medical negligence actions for the past 25 years. If your child or children have been affected by Pandemrix Vaccination we will be happy to meet with you and provide you with a free consultation to explore the legal options available to you and to discuss any potential compensation claim you may have arising out of receiving the Pandemrix vaccination.
